Current changes: (in order of appearance)
July » Feathers grown in. Deep purple coloration with black striations. Notably they cover his ears. Some scattered down back of neck, top of back, and shoulders. Also cover elbows but that's usually out of sight beneath clothing. They itch though because of it.
August » Weakness to cold and wind has begun to set in. His opposite elements. (He will be fire and earth.)
August » Extra strength setting in.
October 1st » Scales, spikes, and claws. Scales are black with purple highlights. Spikes form beginning at the top of his head and go down his spine.
October 1st » Eyes are bright yellow, including the sclera. He has nocturnal "snake" eyes which means slitted pupils and he can see fairly good at night. He can also see detail much farther than a human for flighted hunting of prey, but not as far or as well as harpies with this sort of enhancement.
October » Eating habit to collect and consume rocks for his upcoming breath weapon. (Lung sac forming but not quite workable yet.)
October 31st » Wings. Big, black, leathery. Three large claws. Vein-like patterns in dark purple.
December 29th » Horns and tail fully grow in.
Shortly after in the beginning of January Rude accidentally discovers his tiny 'travel' sized form--a large house cat size, adorable little dragon with blunted horns and spikes, large round eyes, and slightly fat tail.
Eventually he'll discover his full large dragon form, and get to use his breath weapon for the first time (which will consist of fire-earth element combo). His weakness to cold and wind have already settled in pretty deep and he officially hates winter now.
For inspiration of what his features look like see Bahamut. Most coloration and feature designs are similar to his FFVIIR look though a few are taken from the original FFVII game design instead.
