I am glad you liked the gift! It was not much but I did my best.

[If Marie had the means to do it, instead of cookies, tea and flowers, the Mirrorbound would have received handpicked luxury items tailored to their personal needs. However, gifts of that level were impossible even for Marie. So, handmade it was.]

Is it really that unusual? I wanted to make sure not a single Mirrorbound is excluded during this holiday season. We are all far away from our friends and families after all...

[He hadn't really meant it like that. Life wasn't rough, per se, but maybe it would have been to someone like her by comparison to her own world. He didn't know.

He's not overwhelmed by all the questions so much as takes a moment with them. He's not much of a talker but it's not as if he can't. Just usually won't. He starts slowly.]

We have holidays. People celebrate them in various ways. Plenty of them involve gift giving or old customs that people still follow without always knowing the meaning anymore. [He shrugged casually.] I typically work holidays.
